Kasautii Zindagii Kay” is an Indian TV serial created by Ekta Kapoor which entertained audiences for 9 long years. It was one of the top-rated shows in the early 2000s. Depicting the never dying love of the lead characters, every moment of which was cherished by the audience.
Now after 18 years, the creators are coming up with a remake with a whole new cast. They wanted to come back with a huge bang. So, they tried their hand at Augmented Reality with the help of Ink In Caps (IIC Labs) to publicize themselves way more than before, featuring the prominence of the red cloth (dupatta) and rose petals from the serial.
It is very important to note that the entertainment industry, as well as other industries, are also utilizing AR. Porus which is a historical drama as well a part of the Star Plus family used Augmented Reality for their marketing campaign. With the use of AR, it became much easier for the audience to interact with the activation. Even the famous cartoon series Motu Patlu also made an attempt to use Augmented Reality.
This particular activation was carried out in centralized metropolitan cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad. This activation includes an activity which involves a couple reenacting an iconic moment from the serial. We believe in creating spellbound experiences and integrating these experiences with “Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2”.

This is not the first time that Star Plus has utilized technology to promote a show. Square Pixel Studios created the content and helped them make a 360 Degree VR Video. It was for a show called P.O.W. – Bandi Yuddh Ke. This activation was featured in two cities Mumbai and Delhi. It was a huge success as it was a mall activation.
